sustain!
My husband and I finally got around to watching our recording of The Mormons last night and I was in shock. Not only because of the obvious bias of content but because I too was a student of Ken Clark's. I was a student at Kennewick High ('89) his last year of teaching Seminary. He was a wonderful teacher and I will always be grateful for the things I learned from him. I also clearly remember him bringing the local leader of the Anti-Mormon group in for class discussions! Unlike most though, I knew it would be his last year, due to comments he had made to me. A few weeks into the year we both realized that my mom had been in his very first Seminary class in Yakima and he made the statement that I was the reason he had to quit, because he couldn't handle teaching the child of a former student. 3 years later ('92) he visited my then senior year Seminary class (I had since moved to Richland High). I didn't recognize him at first, he seemed to be enveloped in shadow, the laughter was not there. My teacher introduced us and Bro. Clark jumped out of his chair, pointed at me and began yelling "she's the reason I had to quit teaching Seminary!" I have to admit I was a little overwhelmed. I have been very saddened to hear that he has left the church and that he is now taking such great effort to teach falsehoods. It's hard to believe that a man that was such a wonderful influence on so many people has lost sight of the truth.

I like the comment that said that "you can leave the church but you cannot leave it alone". I wonder, why can't they leave it alone?
