I agree with her thoughts. I think we as members need to be less concerned with lecturing. Many times just a friendly handshake is worth 1000 sermons.

I believe strongly in "spheres of actions". I think a person has a sphere of action where he/she will be able to reach to people in a better way than others. A close friend might be in a better position to counsel and/or admonish a kid than a seminary teacher. Sometimes, it may be the other way. I think that, if people were more concerned about the effects of their lectures more than about making sure the person "gets it straight", we'd ease up pressure, and our spheres of action would expand.
