Last week on House an African-American BYU Grad is chosen to assemble House's new team.

House convinces him to drink Tequila to be a test subject.

Is it good to have African-American Mormon characters on tv? And would this positive publicity be derailed by the fact this Mormon character brakes the WoW?

I don't see why having an African-American Mormon character would be bad on itself, just like having any kind of mormon characters.

The problem is when they try to sensationalize Mormon behavior or beliefs, like in this example.

I don't see how this was an example of sensationalising. I think the writer's did an excellent job in explaining the foundation of and yet the flexibility of LDS beliefs. whenever someone asks me, "Hey, isn't it true that Mormons can do such-and-such", I always respond by saying the Church teaches such-and-such, but we can do whatever we want. I am glad that episode encapsulated that.
