Because your repetition of (and apparent agreement with) Bagley's allegation of Brigham being criminally culpable is irresponsible and false! I've done quite a bit of reading on the incident and there is no substantiated evidence proving either one of two principle elements of the crime accessory before the fact (which are ACTUS REUS and MENS REA).

Because of this, there has never been (and never should be) an official apology from the Church as an organization! If anyone was ever going to appologize, it would have been President Hinckley. He didn't!
