The good: the actual article was funny and insightful. I think it was appropriate for the Daily Universe, and, at any rate, it gave me a good-natured laugh.

The bad: the post-facto pissing and moaning.

Seriously, post-graduation "bravery" isn't a badge of honor neither a sign of critical thinking, unless you're trying to be a "radical" (TM).

I found Eric Snider's material pretty funny when I was 18. I guess it's still okay. But the comment threads are a pretty good indicator of audience that kind of humor appeals to. It works well with people still grappling with the vestiges of teenage angst. I actually paid more attention to the comments than the article itself. My favorite line is "Take THAT, President Bateman!" Very smooth.

I just thought it was worth a chuckle, but you are right, Hhhhh, the post-grad bravery seems a bit silly.
