Newsroom:
The issue is not one of rights. Rather, it is that one religious group chooses to target another with a DVD full of distortions of its doctrine and history, and misrepresentations so stark that they call into question the integrity of the producers.

I'm glad to see the Church using the Newsroom to respond to these types of attacks. And while that language is pretty strong, it is quite justified, given the intent of the DVD distributors.

I also noted that the Jewish Anti-Defamation League has condemned the distribution of the DVD. Honestly, I'm quite surprised that other religious groups haven't been more vocal about it as well. I would be very uncomfortable with such an open attack on any religion, even if it was not my own. A society that accepts such attacks will eventually permit or encourage similar treatment of other religious groups.

I'm so happy to see the Church making bold statements through their PR department. They've been very straightforward and explanatory and I think it's refreshing.

Hallelujah! This is GREAT! We WILL STAND AS WITNESSES AT ALL TIMES AND IN ALL THINGS AND IN ALL PLACES! Now how is this for a TRUE EXAMPLE! Members of the church NEED to see this kind of boldness from the TOP:-) Did anyone see The Church Worldwide Report in between conference sessions today? They reported on the new design of lds.org, as well as pointing to the significant particpation that has happened with the On Faith news blog. We need more members over there defending the church as this has become a nesting spot for many to use it for anti material. So come on over and see if you can lend a positive voice:-)
