Get Religion, links to 3 stories about Mitt's fund raising success, all of which note that much of his base is Mormon. All the articles contain an impression that 'there is something wrong here'. I'm getting flashbacks to reading old newspapers for my history degree and having similar articles written about Jews and Catholics. Then again, if Mitt's base is largely Mormon, and his financial support is largely Mormon, is that something that should be pointed out just like a evangelical receiving most of his money from Megachurches?

"a cadre of young church members experienced in door-to-door missions who say they are looking forward to hitting the streets for him."

I choke on my Coke when I read that...rofl. Interesting(ly ridiculous) statement.

Have you read the accounts of the opposition organized against the ERA in Virgina? The hyperbolic tone of the article has it's roots in the history of Mormon political involvement.

The early Mormon Suffragettes were no slouches at organizing either...lol

But, the statement is hyperbolic...I'll give you that.
