Sustaind.org is sick. :( If you're a PHP programmer, can you help us upgrade Sustain'd and get it working again? If interested, email richard AT moregoodfoundation DOT org.

This blog is one of(if not the best) one that I have read. It describes his dream of Mormonism reaching back to its roots, and standing out rather than becoming "just another religion." He talks about the youth, and how they should be the ones that revolutionize this new "future of Mormonism."

I'm still digesting it, so can't comment on anything but it's ability to inspire discussion... thoughtful discussion. So I'll sustain it on that alone.

Didn't mean to sustain this one, I hit sustain instead of the link to the post. Too bad there's no unsustain option.

Loydo has more hope than I that the church will change...

Lloyd has been listening to the rap music that plays over the credits of "States of Grace" while reading the communist manifesto and 1980s' back-editions of Sunstone again. :p

By the choir for the choir.

Wow. I had great hope for this post as I began reading it. His initial points about waking up the young membership of the church is great. But then he starts to go off the reservation a bit in asking the church to endorse a lot of the social changes going on in society today (i.e. gay rights, priesthood for women, etc). I can't express how dissappointed I am with his comments about Captain Mormoni. I have yet to find a true soldier that even remotely loves war. Only truly masochistic psychopaths love war. I, myself can honestly say that I detest it but feel that it is sometimes necessary to take up arms. High Nibley's comments on Captain Moroni in his BYU lectures points out that Moroni did his job as a General, a very good job in most cases, but then retired to a quiet life when the conflicts were finished. I wish that our present day politicians and generals would follow this patter: serve when called upon or necessary then fall quietly back into society when the time comes.

Sorry, this story is a definite "opppose".

Could I cast a vote there be a way to change your vote after you've made it? Since I usually hit sustain, I sometimes stupidly hit it when I mean to oppose. I realize I should just stop doing that, but so far, don't seem to be able to function that high mentally.

I'd also like that option. I don't think I'd oppose this story, but it's not something I intended to sustain. Accidental votes probably don't have much of an effect on a big site like Digg, but when the total number of votes is under 20, it might be nice to keep it accurate by having an unsustain option.
